I’m being awfully naughty today, it’s like the first time ever I’ve missed work for no reason at all… well the reason I gave the old dragon was pretty much ‘I won’t… I won’t… I won’t’ and she’s not going to like that. Normally I have such a good work ethic and do work pretty hard but I just hate this job so much I want to drown myself in the mop bucket. Me Mam says I’m being snobbish and ‘a job’s a job’ and I normally agree with her, I don’t hate this job because it’s cleaning, I hate it because it’s such a depressing place to be. I’ve started totally winging everything in the hopes they’ll fire me, I still work hard and do everything I’m supposed to I just add little touches of my own. Like the note I kindly left for the gentleman who seems unable to flush after his number twos.

To the manufacturer of the little brown present left in cubicle two,

If this happens again I will scoop it out and put it in the staff kitchen with a map directing people to your desk, let’s see it never comes to this.

P.S. I loathe this job, so don’t think I won’t.

I know it was naughty and ever so disgusting but I’m not going to clean up shit for £5 an hour and I don’t want any of the other women to have to either, so I left that note on top of some marigolds, bleach and a toilet brush and the next day the bog was spotless.

In other news, after I finally got paid from the cleaning job and my shiny new bank card arrived I decided to shop for yarn. I may have gone a little overboard on eBay but I just can’t wait for it all to arrive. I’ve ordered some Koigu KPPPM in two of their scrummiest colourways and I’m thinking maybe a pair of these. I’ve also nearly finished my Jaywalkers, although they look far too big and quite baggy. I’ll put some pictures up once I’ve found some bastarding batteries in this hell-hole of a room.

In the beginning there was a young superhero named Disaster Girl, she also had a blog. This blog was run off and on for about two years until it was horribly mistreated and abandoned by Disaster Girl, whence in a fit of inspiring, burning, creative passion Disaster Girl decided to revive the blog she discovered that she had totally forgotten the password, her old email and even the ‘secret question’ (what sound does a mongoose make?)

Feeling the hurt from this lack of bloggyness she decided she would no longer be Disaster Girl but would now be known forever more as ‘CALAMITY GIRL – The clumsiest superhero in the west’
